How to Assemble Your Ceiling Fan (Downrod)-Cont’d
6. Cut off excess lead wire approximately 6 to 9 inches
above top of the top of the downrod. Strip insulation off
1/2 inch from the end of each lead wire. (Figure 6)
1. Remove the three motor coupling screws from
your fan and save for step 3. (Figure 1)
2. Route your fan wires through the ceiling canopy
and place ceiling canopy onto your motor. (Figure 2)
3. Alight the 3 big slots in the canopy to the 3 screws
in the motor coupler. Firmly attach the canopy cover
to the motor with the three screws removed in step1.

All set screws must be checked, and retightened
where necessary, before installation.
